but I love my life anyway

This evening I had a really satisfying photography experience. First, taking head shots of my daughter Stephanie for a possible modeling job and then outside taking photos of my gardens and wild flowers. The early evening light was perfect, not too much wind, my hands were steady and lots new growth everywhere. The blackflies were a bit aggrivating, but worth the trouble.
My life is crazy busy. I'm up at 5am weekdays to pack lunches and get an early morning walk before work. Then a full 8 hr day at a very busy office (I love my job) , then home to make supper (I love to cook, it's not usually not a chore). So that means, not much energy left at the end of the day for creativity. I miss my paint brushes and craft room. Taking photos helps me decompress when there simply is not time or energy to paint. It is my compromise to myself, because I believe it is imperative to find time for creativity.
So that is when taking pictures can really save my sanity. Some photos are taken just to take a great photo and capture a lovely moment, and other times for photo reference for eventual paintings. It gives me hope that I WILL get a paint brush in my hand.
